About Will Rogers

I was raised in the wide-open spaces of Chugwater, Wyoming, where the sky stretches forever and the wind has a song of its own. I come from a musical family, and early on, that music took hold of me. I hit the road with my brothers and spent 23 years playing music across the U.S. and Europe, living out of vans, motels, and on stages big and small. We played honky-tonks, festivals, and anywhere people needed a good song.

But life has a way of calling you home. When my daughter was born, I made the decision to settle down — to be a father to her and her brother, and a partner to my wife. The road shaped me, but home gave me roots.

My novels and country music albums are born from that journey — the wild years and the quiet ones, the heartbreaks and high times, the faces I’ll never forget and the stories that demanded to be told. Every word and every note carries a piece of the life I’ve lived.
